Gloria Patricia "Pat" Boyd, 73, of Colquitt died Monday, April 14, 2008, at her residence.

Mrs. Boyd was born in Miller County Aug. 11, 1934. She was a member of Colquitt First Baptist Church and the American Cancer Society. She retired from Colquitt City Hall.

Survivors include one son, Christopher Brett Boyd and wife Barbara of West Palm Beach, Fla.; one brother, William S. Alderman of Blakely; one sister, Janette Gentry of Jackson, Tenn.; and one granddaughter, Catherine Patricia Boyd of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Colquitt First Baptist Church with Dr. Carl Marshall officiating. Interment followed at Pine Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Al Boyd, Ricky Brents, Fred Brents, Troy Alderman, Cary Alderman and Brent Alderman.

Honorary pallbearers were members of the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
