Bitter? No but gettin' that way
Likely? Not! By the time you read this we will all probably be hunkered back down bracing ourselves against the constant babble by TV pundits and talking heads. By the way, when did you last hear either of the two Dems mention anything about the issues? I do remember Barack talking about them NOT talking about the issues important to the people, make that bitter, gun toting, Bible reading people. How many of you heard or read about President Bush's meeting in New Orleans this week with the heads of Mexico and Canada? Didn't think so. The Democratic squabble makes too good of a diversion. Besides, making North America a free trade union like that in Europe is probably something far too important and complex for us ordinary citizens to understand. By the way... On the heels of the protests that followed the Olympic flame around the world, our friend Norm Smith in Tampa sent the following email message... "It looks as though more countries are dropping out of the 2008 Summer Olympics." Headline: Mexico Drops Out Of 2008 Summer Olympics President Felipe Calderon of Mexico has announced that Mexico will not participate in the Beijing Summer Olympics. He stated: "Casi cada uno que puede funcionar, saltar, o la nadada ha salido ya del pais." Translation: "Pretty much everyone who can run, jump, or swim has already left the country." ************
