Crocker has outstanding year

As a sophomore musical theatre major, Audrey Crocker has been cast in all five of the Shorter College Theatre Depart-ment's main stage shows:
The Three Penny Opera (ensemble),
To Kill A Mockingbird (ensemble and understudy for Scout), the dance concert and, most recently, in principal roles in
Tartuffe and
Guys and Dolls (Sarah).
For her role as Dorine in the French neo-classical comedy, Tartuffe, Crocker received an Irene Ryan nomination. The prestigious Irene Ryan Scholarship was founded by actress Irene Ryan, best known for her role as Granny in the television show The Beverly Hillbilles. Audrey will audition with 250 other nominated actors in the southeast region in February 2009 for a chance at the national auditions.
On April 1, Audrey received the Friends of Theatre Rising Junior award in theatre. It is the highest award bestowed on a sophomore in the theatre department. Audrey is the daughter of Steve and Valerie Crocker of Blakely.
