Willie Mae Earnest

Willie Mae Holton Earnest, 97, of Tallapoosa, Ga., died Saturday, March 22, 2008.

Mrs. Earnest was born in Grady County, Ga., May 20, 1910, to the late John Emory Holton and Mary Mozelle Cliett Holton. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Franklin Earnest; two sons, William Henry Earnest and Willie Frank Earnest; two sisters, Eunice Perry and Lector Holton; and two brothers, Council Holton and Cecil Holton.

Survivors include two daughters, Ima Jean Temples and husband Jimmy of Auburndale, Fla., and Rouzelle Sanders and husband Lowell of Tallapoosa; one son, Cecil Emory Earnest of Tallapoosa; four grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, March 24, 2008, at Calvary Assembly of God in Brinson, Ga., with Rev. Joey Sanders, Rev. Jimmy Temples, Rev. Curtis Earnest and Rev. Ros Parker officiating. Interment followed in the Calvary Assembly of God Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roscoe Parker, Josh Parker, Zeke Parker, Robert Barrett, Jimmy Cash and Jerry Temples.

Honorary pallbearers were Roger Perry, Larice Earnest, Dockey Earnest, Don Newborn, Walter Maxwell and David Cliett.

Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel of Buchanan was in charge of the arrangements.
