FCCLA takes top honors at STAR
Competing against seven other teams in their division, they were given the highest score which advanced them to state competition at the state meeting. Their project, titled "Deal Me In," was a presentation of the after school program that FCCLA members have taught this year at the elementary school. FCCLA members instructed children from third through fifth grade about the importance of nutrition and physical fitness. Both students and advisors alike volunteered every Wednesday for the educational program.
Should the team make highest score at the state meeting, they will advance to national competition in Orlando in July.
