Morton-Dickey vows exchanged
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stanford Morton of LaGrange and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Paschal Faris of Laurens, S.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dowd Morton of Blakely. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. William McKenny Dickey of Thomasville and grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Barrow Harrison Sr. of Thomasville and Mr. and Mrs. Guy McKenny Dickey of Decatur. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an elegant gown in soft white imported Duchesses silk satin. The strapless gown featured a fitted bodice and a beautiful ballgown skirt. The skirt was hand-draped with beautiful asymmetrical drapings in the front and the back of the gown. The back of the gown featured covered buttons and extended into a chapellength train. The bride wore her mother's lace-edged chapel length veil and carried a bouquet of pinkthroated, white cymbidium orchids. Molly Morton Sipp of Atlanta, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor and William McKenny Dickey served as best man for his son. Groomsmen for the service were David Hunter Brown of Charlotte, N.C., Kirkland McKenny Dickey of Winston-Salem, N.C., Jason Gregory Long of Atlanta, John Franklin Sisley IV of Atlanta and Ernest Monroe Watkins III of Charleston, S.C. Master Kaleb Henry Patterson of Harlingen, Texas, was the ringbearer. A reception was held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Atlanta.
The couple traveled to Virgin Gorda for their honeymoon and reside in Atlanta.
