Avant - Kimbrel

Arthur W. Avant Jr. and Pamela L. Moulton Avant of Hahira, Ga., announce the engagment of their daughter, Sara Ellen Avant, to Bryan Alan Kimbrel, son of Russell "Rusty" Kimbrel of Hahira, and the late Tammy Busby Kimbrel of Savannah.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late William H. "Bill" and Ellen Gladney Moulton of Dasher, Ga., the late Arthur W. Avant Sr. and the late Lucile Altman Avant, both of Charleston, S.C.

Miss Avant is a 2006 graduate of Lowndes County High School and received a master cosmetologist degree with honors from Valdosta Techincal College in 2008. She is employed as a full time subsititute teacher for the nail tech program at local high schools and as part-time employee with H&R Block.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Buford Kimbrel and Irisia Beard Kimbrel of Arlington, Allen Busby of Douglas, Ga., and Barbara Kay Walker of Colquitt. Greatgrandparents are the late William A. Kimbrel and Jane Roberts Kimbrel of Baker County, the late Venson "Doc" Beard and Ora Craft Beard of Albany, and the late Dennis and Mildred Walker of Arlington.

Mr. Kimbrel is a 2005 graduate of Lowndes County High School and attended Valdosta State University. He is currently employed by Central Irrigation Supply as the Valdosta branch manager.

The wedding is planned for May 4, 2008, at 6 p.m. at Gin Creek in Hartsfield, Ga.
