Leon George Leon George, 81, of Newton, Ga., died Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Blakely. Mr. George was born in Gurdy, Okla., July 17, 1926. He was a retired Pentecostal minister. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Fay George. Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Beasley of Newton and Renee' Reynolds of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two sons, Travis George of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Delbert George of Newton; two sisters, Estelle Hartman and Mary Hartman, both of Texarkana, Texas; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, March 8, 2008, at East Memorial Chapel Downtown with Rev. Charles Hillis officiating. Interment followed at Red Lick Cemetery in Red Lick, Texas.
East Funeral Home in Texarkana, Texas was in charge of arrangements.
