Florence Maddox Florence Wambles Maddox, 67, of Columbia, Ala., died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Ala. Mrs. Maddox was born in Troy, Ala., April 30, 1940, to the late Johnny Dewey Wambles and Bertha Chapman Wambles. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Wambles. Survivors include her husband, Samuel Edward Maddox of Blakely; one son, Phillip Sanders of Troy; two daughters, Deborah Troyer of Troy, Ala., and Rena' Averett of Enterprise, Ala.; two brothers, Ray Wambles of Enterprise, Ala., and Mac Wambles of Largo, Fla.; two sisters, Elaine Senn of Jack Ala., and Margaret Wambles of Troy, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services were Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Blakely Cemetery with Rena' Averett officiating.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
