Peter Harris robbed at knife-point

Former city councilman Peter Harris escaped injury when he was robbed at knifepoint recently in his Tolbert Drive home.

According to authorities, Harris had allowed a woman into his home under pretense of needing to use his phone.

After dialing a number she told Harris the line was busy.

She then grabbed a knife from the kitchen counter and demanded his wallet. Dragging him to the floor, she tried to hit him with a table lamp and took his wallet from the back pocket of his trousers.

He was able to identify the attacker as 39-year-old Delois Pugh of Mulberry Lane in Blakely.

Pugh was picked up by authorities the next day and identified by Harris in a photo lineup.

She has been charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery and kidnapping.
