Mumbles
Just say it will you, I love you!
Billy Fleming

I've already started this Valentine column several times only to hit the delete key and start over. I love to hear the Righteous Brothers sing it, but I don't think my stuttering start to this column has anything losing that loving feeling.

About the only line that fits right now is... "Now it's gone, gone, gone." But, it's my lead to this column that's gone.

I kinda feel like the guy in a cartoon I saw yesterday where the guy sitting next to his honey looks over his shoulder and tells Cupid, "Go ahead and shoot!"

Cupid replies, "I can't. They confiscated my arrow at the airport."

Just wondering, what are those wings for? Never mind, we don't have time to get off on another tangent, I gotta get the lead to this column down pat.

I give up. Just don't feel real poetic right now. Think I'll just pass along some poetic lines that have been around a while, won't bother mentioning the authors...

Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies...

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage...

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart...

Love does not dominate; it cultivates...

Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place...

Love is life. All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I love. Everything is, everything exists, only because I love...

Humm, and I thought the leads I deleted sounded a little corny! Let's just leave it at this...

Happy Valentine, I Love You!
