Korynda Reed

Korynda Knicole "Possum" Reed, 23, of Blakely died Feb. 3, 2008, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala.

Miss Reed was born in Blakely Dec. 16, 1984, to Jollie Igles and Jerry Igles. She was a 2003 graduate of Early County High School and was pursuing a degree in nursing at Bainbridge College.

She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Laura H. Igles; and two grandfathers, Rev. Boyzell Reed and Woodrow Gray Sr.

Survivors, other than her parents, include her stepfather Cryus E. Butler Sr.; fthree grandmothers, Alvina Reed, Mamie Gray and Annette Butler, all of Blakely; three children, Destiny Reed, Iyawana Stapleton and Chazmyn Miller; her fiance, Quentavis Wimberly; five brothers, Kendrick Reed, Dexter Griffin, Jerry Igles Jr., Trans Igles and Cyrus Butler II, all of Blakely; and 10 sisters, Cecilia Butler, Selena Jackson, Monique Jackson, Crystle Mack, Bridgette Smith and Tasha Wimberly and husband Chandray, all of Blakely, Koreasha Williams and husband Walter and Shalocka Shephard, all of Damascus, Tiffany King of Albany and Linda Igles of Miami.

Funeral services were Friday, Feb, 8, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jerome Milton officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Cemetary.

Pallbearers were Octavious Freeman, Johnny Reed, Quincy Lee, Lee Reed, Steve Often and Marvin James. Honorary pallbearers were Willie Allen, Anthony Richardson, Andre Powell, Cedric Powell, Billy Powell and Lamar Powell.

Peoples Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
