Mary Patterson Diaz, 82, of Daytona Beach, Fla., died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at Hospice of Volusia/Flager, West Care Center in Orange City, Fla.

Mrs. Diaz was born in Seminole County, Ga., May 8, 1925, to the late Louis David Patterson and Leonie Lee Patterson. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church in St. Mountain, Ga., and Chapter #148 O.E.S in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Patterson.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Joseph Diaz of Daytona Beach; three sons, Louis Diaz and wife Karen of Lawrenceville, Ga., Ernest Diaz of Covington, Ga., and Robert Diaz of Oxford, Ga.; one sister, Martha Waggoner of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Louis Alexander Patterson of Pine Mountain; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Blakely Cemetery with Rev. Mark Jones officiating.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
