Chamber hires president
The Chamber of Commerce has hired a president who will assume the duties of the position Feb. 4.
The new president, Hillary Halford, has roots in Early County being a former resident of Arlington and a 1981 graduate of Early County High.
She has a degree in fine arts from Troy State University and a masters degree in sociology from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
She will be returning to Blakely from Salisbury North Carolina where she has been employed by the Salisbury Housing Authority since 2000.
