Catherine Ward Catherine Goette "Kitty" Ward, 77, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008. Mrs. Ward was a member of the Morrow First Baptist Church and a retired classroom teacher for the Clayton County Board of Education. She and her late husband Tommy were school teachers in Blakely during the early 1950s. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Thomas "Tommy" Ward; and a brother, Phillip Watson "Buddy" Goette Jr. Survivors include a son, David Ward and wife Roxanne of McDonough; two sisters, Margie Barrington and Marie Hillman and husband Rex of New Jersey; and two granddaughters, Rachel Ward and Melissa Ward. Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, at 2 p.m. at the Morrow First Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Quisenberry officiating. Interment followed at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Horis A. Ward Fairview Funeral Home in Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.
