Lester Gipson Lester Gipson, 73, of Marianna, Fla., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at Jackson County Hospital in Marianna. Mr. Gipson was born in Houston County, Ala., to the late Thomas Vollie Gipson and Della Louise Hughes Gipson. He lived in the Seminole County area all his life and worked as a diesel mechanic. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah Gipson. Survivors include two sons, Thomas "Pete" Gipson and wife Janie and Curtis Gipson and wife Shrona, all of Donalsonville; five daughters, Frances Franklin and husband Joe of Donalsonville, Darlene Wilkerson of Pensacola, Fla., Brenda Blair and husband Kenneth of Bainbridge, Amy Brynum and husband Duane of Thomasville, and Marilyn Mixon and husband Delbert of Bonifay, Fla.; one brother, Henry Gipson and wife Sandy of Phoenix City, Ala.; four sisters, Louetta Moat of Donalsonville, Laura Kirkland and husband Bobby of Blakely, Stella Money of Columbia, Ala., and Lucy Newson of San Diego, Calif.; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with Rev. Teresa Taylor officiating.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
