Pumpkins on the Square
      Fifty-four Early County children turned out with family and friends for the annual Pumpkins on the Square costume and carving contest sponsored by Blakely Hometown. The three age divisions were awarded in three divisions: cutest, scariest and most creative.

      Colquitt is the place you want to be Saturday, Nov. 8 during the Festival of Southern Culture. Good talent, good food, and a fun time make this a great family event. Seniors compete in Olympics
      The Blakely Senior Center participated in the Georgia Golden Olympics in Warner Robins Sept. 27. Seven local seniors participated in the events and brought home 15 medals, consisting of gold, silver and bronze. The Blakely Early County Recreation Department provided lodging for the participants.

Park rate changes set
      The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lake Seminole announces new fees to become effective Nov. 15, at the following parks on Lake Seminole: • Eastbank Campground: campsites 1-41 $18; sites 42-61 $16; sites 62-70 $14; sites 71-75 $12. Visitor and extra vehicle fees will remain at $3 per night.
