Betty Iona Houston Jones, 80, of Albany died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Albany Healthcare.

Mrs. Jones was born in Early County Feb. 19, 1928, to the late George Washington Houston and Ruby Lee Mock Houston. She was a homemaker and had lived in Albany the past 50 years. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Blakely.

Survivors include two sons, Ronny Jones and wife Tammy and Jerry Jones, all of Albany; two daughters, Gail J. Brooks of Thomasville and Debrea Jones of Albany; one sister, Mary Doris Easom of Blakely; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at White Plains Cemetery in Blakely.

Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
