Candidate forum Monday night

Probate Judge Probate Judge Early County voters are urged to gather at the Early County Courthouse Monday for the 2008 political forum at which they will get a chance to meet the local candidates seeking office in the Nov. 4 General Election.

The Early County News, which has organized and sponsored past political forums, is being joined this year by the Chamber of Commerce and EC2055 in planning the Oct. 27 forum.

A total of seven non-partisan candidates running for Probate Judge, Board of Education District 2 and Board of Education at-large District 5 will be participating in the forum.

Voters and candidates will have an opportunity to meet and greet beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the downstairs lobby of the courthouse.

The forum will begin at 7 p.m. in the courtroom upstairs during which the candidates will introduce themselves to voters and field questions from forum moderators.

There will be additional time to meet and greet the candidates in the lobby following the forum.

The candidates

Candidates participating include Probate Judge candidates Clink Alexander and incumbent Tonya Holley: Board of Education District 2 candidates incumbent Phyllis Craft and Denise Williams and Board of Education District 5 at-large candidates incumbent Ronnie "Rat" Ashley, Cynthia Levatte and Jackie Love.
