The Blakely-Early County Recreation Department had three teams participate in all-star competition during the summer. The 9-10 baseball team played in several tournaments and placed third in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association District Tournament which was held in Blakely the last week of June. The 11-12 baseball team placed second in GRPA District Sub-divided tournament held in Blakely the third week of June. The 12 and under softball team traveled to Brooks County and competed in the GRPA District Tournament the final week of June. The Department would like to thank all the parents, volunteer coaches, sponsors and workers for making this Spring/Summer Ball season a success.
