Glass leads Eastern Star

      Ellen Glass was installed as worthy grand matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Georgia on June 15 at the Columbus Iron Works and Convention Center in Columbus. Glass is the first member of Early County's Eastern Star Chapter 282 to be named to lead the state's Eastern Star organization since it was organized in 1939.

      Chuck and Casie McCormick proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Marlie Jaye. Marlie was born Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan. She weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 21 inches long.
