Ricardo "Ricky" Cardenas, 12, died Friday, April 18, 2008, at Miller County Hospital.

Mr. Cardenas was born July 7, 1995, in Naples, Fla., to Pedro Cardenas and Maria Elida Quionones Cardenas. He was a seventh grade student at Early County Middle School, enjoyed karate and soccer, and loved pets.

In addition to his parents, he his survived by his stepfather, Alfredo Cepeda; three brothers, Brandon Lee Cardenas, Ellis Leal and Angel Daniel Cepada, all of Blakely; one sister, Jahaira J. Cepeda of Blakely; grandparents, Eladio Quinones of Fla., Janie Beltran and husband Ellis Aldridge of Blakely and Maria Cardenas of Florida; and great-grandparents, Daniel and Elida Beltran of Donalsonville.

Visitation is tonight, Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Evans- Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville.

Funeral services are Thursday, April 24, 2008, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Father Guy Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville.

Pallbearers are Efrain Beltran, Diego Trujillo, Geoffry Hall, Jerry Holley, Jim Bob Aldridge and Eladio Quinones.
