Commodity distribution in Calhoun County
USDA government surplus commodity distribution will be held in Calhoun County at 104 Maxwell Street in Arlington on April 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. if supplies last.
All recipients must certify their eligibility. Those who wish to qualify need to bring some form of identification and know their total household income.
If you send someone to pick up the commodities for you, they must have a written note signed by you listing your social security number, address and total household income.
Please brings bags and/or boxes to place items in. Each issue will weigh about 21 pounds.
Items scheduled for distribution include apple sauce, canned chicken, carrots, grapefruit juice, great northern beans, green beans, mixed vegetables, peanut butter, peas, rice, roasted peanuts, spinach, tomatoes, tuna and veggie soup.
