Local artist Sam Lightsey enjoyed seeing former students, teachers, fellow artists and good friends at a reception on the opening of an exhibit of his work Feb. 28 at Lucy Hilton Maddox Memorial Library. The art show includes some of Lightsey's earliest works from the 1960s to paintings completed last month. The exhibit will be on display through March 12. Cheryln Ajane Souve, 60, of Dothan died Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore, Okla. Mrs. Souve was born in Blakely April 9, 1947, to Robbie Dykes Williams of Blakely and the late E.W. "Bud" Williams. She was a graduate of Early County High School and earned an associate degree in nursing from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton. More...
