An art exhibit featuring the work of Sam Tully Lightsey will open Thursday, Feb. 28 at Lucy Hilton Maddox Memorial Library. Sponsored by local artists and the library, this exhibit will showcase Lightsey's entire career as an artist. Pauline Wynds Bell, 96, of Blakely died Friday, Feb. 15, 2008. Mrs. Bell was born in Blakely Nov. 13, 1911, to the late Henry Wynds and Patsy Wynds. She was a member of Prospect African Methodist Episcopal Church in Blakely and worked at the Blakely Freezer Locker for 36 years. More...
