Dorothy Duncan

Dorothy Stokes Duncan, 77, of Cairo died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga.

Mrs. Duncan was born in Early County Jan. 6, 1930, to the late Frank B. Stokes and Genie Sirmons Stokes. She was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church and was a sales clerk at McCrory's.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Watson Duncan.

Survivors include two sisters, Frances Smith and husband Kenneth of Pascagoula, Miss., and Mary Odum and husband Pete of Blakely; one brother, Holt Stokes and wife Delana of Oklahoma City, Okla., one brother-in-law, Bob Fletcher of Albany; three stepchildren; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Pine Level Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Weaver and Rev. Mack Luke officiating. Interment followed at Pine Level Cemetery Annex in Cairo.

Pallbearers were Buddy West, George Johnson,Walt Sellers, Duane Davis, Willard Powe and Bill Keene.

Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
