Tip leads to four drug arrests

Following a tip from a concerned citizen, authorities arrested four Damascus men last week on drug and weapons charges.

Officers Alderman and Kennedy responded to the PDQ convenience store in Damascus where they found three suspects in a gray 1997 Ford Crown Victoria behind the store.

The suspects denied any drugs were in the vehicle. However, a plastic bag with what appeared to be crack cocaine was spotted in the driver's lap.

The three suspects were taken into custody and a subsequent search of the vehicle turned up bags of powder cocaine and marijuanna. In addition, a large sum of cash was found on the driver of the vehicle.

A fourth suspect was arrested when marijuanna and a handgun were found in a 1978 green Chevrolet parked next to the Ford.

The suspects arrested were Robert Earl Jackson, 33, Demis Rowry, Eric Monte Eafford, 32, and Answar Holmes, 25, all of Damascus.
