Mills to sign book at library
Mills' interest in the popular parable began when he filled the pulpit for pastor Alvetta Butler when she was ill. Mills said he continued to study the parable at subsequent Bible studies and the concepts that fill the book began to take form. The slim book discusses the parable with modern analogies and inspires the reader to find a way to not just labor through life, but discover work that brings fulfillment. Mills graduated valedictorian from Early County High School in 1995 and went on to attend the University of Georgia on a Foundation Fellowship. He earned a bachelor of science degree in theoretical mathematics. Since graduation, he has been a high school mathematics teacher in the Randolph County school system. Torré has also been in the preaching ministry for over 10 years and currently serves as assistant pastor at the Greater Works Outreach Ministry. He is also currently a councilman for the city of Blakely and will begin his second term in January.
Mills said he is most proud of his family which includes his wife, Lawana Holder Mills; a son, Braxton; and two daughters, Trinity and Faith. He is the son of Henry and Ozetta Mills of Blakely and the grandson of Ella Ree Mills of Jakin and the late Beatrice and Jesse Johnson of Blakely.
