Mills to sign book at library
      Torré Mills will present his recently published book, "The Parable of the Talents, a Modern Interpretation," at a book signing in the conference room at Lucy Hilton Maddox Memorial Library Saturday, Dec. 15, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Tip leads to four drug arrests
      Following a tip from a concerned citizen, authorities arrested four Damascus men last week on drug and weapons charges. Officers Alderman and Kennedy responded to the PDQ convenience store in Damascus where they found three suspects in a gray 1997 Ford Crown Victoria behind the store.

Not too late for flu shots
      Getting vaccinated during December and beyond still provides protection, as flu season normally peaks in January or later. "We have had flu activity as late as March, so it is definitely not too late to get a flu shot," says Early County Health Department Nurse Manager Alida Ward.
