Bainbridge recipe deadline extended Bainbridge College is extending the deadline for recipes to be sent for its 35th anniversary cookbook. Recipes must be sent by 5 p.m. Dec 31 either by mail or email. Details and the recipe submission form are at www.bainbridge.edu. There are 11 categories. Contributors may submit one recipe for each category. Recipes do not have to be original but must not be copied directly from copyrighted sources. The cookbook, with sale proceeds going to Bainbridge College Foundation's endowed scholarships, will offer not just recipes but also photos and historical highlights from BC's past. "With more that 100 recipes already in hand, the cookbook committee hopes to have broader representation from people off campus and from other area counties," said library director, Susan Ralph, who spearheads the project. Contributors are asked to indicate their connection with the college - whether they are former students or family or friends of students, staff, faculty, etc. "Almost everyone in our service area has a connection with Bainbridge College," said Ms. Ralph, noting as examples teachers and other professionals who have attended continuing education offerings or those who do business with BC. "We certainly hope to have good representation from Early County and all our service area." The cookbook committee members plan to have a taste-off at a date yet to be set so that the BC community can select its favorites for special recognition in the published cookbook. The committee includes culinary arts instructor Bridget Schwartz and members of the BC Ambassadors, as well as others from the campus and community.
Recipes must be received, by mail or electronically, no later than 5 p.m. Dec. 31. The recipe submission form is available on the web at www.bainbridge.edu.
