Wilson plays All-State Football

GISA All State football player, Alex Wilson of Southwest Georgia Academy was selected to participate in the 26th annual Red vs. Blue All-Star game. The game was played Saturday in Macon at Mount DeSales. Wilson was selected with 55 other players out of all classifications of GISA. He started at linebacker on the blue team, which came out on top 28- 15, and accounted for six tackles and one for a loss of two yards.

Wilson said he "enjoyed the camaraderie of the blue team and the competition from the best players in the state." He expressed gratitude for Coach David Bell and many friends and family attending and extended special thanks to Coach Steve Jackson and wife Peggy for the video of this special day. He is the son of Gary and Pam Swords of Arlington and Van and Simone Wilson of Athens.
