Randall Ellis named FFA member of the week

Randall Ellis
Early County High School sophomore, Randall Ellis, is named FFA member of the week. Randall is a first year FFA member. Early this school year he participated in the Tractor Driving CDE contest and he plans to be a part of the Agriculture Communications CDE.

Agriculture communications is a new contest the Early County FFA chapter will be competing in for the first time this year.

Randall's Supervised Agriculture Experience Program is in Diversified Crop Production. He is responsible for preparing land for planting, spraying, digging peanuts, picking peanuts and cotton, and packing cotton. Randall also operates various types of farm equipment, such as tractors, peanut pickers, corn combines and rotary

Outside of FFA, Randall is very involved in school and the community. He is a member of the BETA club, ECHS tennis and cross country, and he is an active member of Hentown Church of Christ.

As an agriculture student he is enrolled in Eric Harris' Food Processing class.

Randall has future plans to attend Georgia Southwestern after he graduates from high school. He wants to pursue a degree in preveterinary or animal science and eventually get a veterinary degree from the University of Georgia, specializing in large animals.
