Garrett - Mitchell James and Linda Garrett of Blakely announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Lynette Garrett of San Diego, to Rayne Mitchell of Blakely, son of James and Kathryn Mitchell of Blakely. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Eddie B. Garrett of Bluffton and Claude Harrison and the late Louise Harrison. Miss Garrett is a graduate of Early County High School. She graduated with a degree in biology from Savannah State University and earned a degree in chemistry from the University of Georgia. She is employed as a pharmaceutical chemist with Hisamitsu Pharmaceutical Company in San Diego and Carlsbad, Calif. The future bridegroom is the grandson of the late Morzell Mitchell, the late Abner Hammonds and his wife Inetha Hammonds of Newton, Ga. Mr. Mitchell is a graduate of Early County High School and Florida State University. He is employed with Mitchell Farms.
The wedding is planned for May 24, 2008, in Fort Gaines.
