Oscar C. Ashley Jr., 66, of Arlington died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007.

Mr. Ashley was born June 29, 1941, to the late O.C. Ashley and Ida Smith Ashley. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He served in the Army for two years and worked as a lab technician for Calhoun Memorial Hospital for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

urvivors include his

wife, Margaret Ashley of Atlanta; a daughter, Crystal Star Ashley of Atlanta; and a sister, Phinis Ashly-Hutt of Norfolk, Va.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at 7 p.m. at New Life Worship Center in Norfolk, Va., with Dr. Carl J. Vann Sr., officiating.

Riddick Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
