Frances Payne Homemaker Frances Joy Shockley Payne, 72, of Ft. Gaines died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at Ft. Gaines Healthcare. Mrs. Payne was born in Coleman, Fla., May 26, 1935, to the late Lovie Shockley and Elphreda Price Shockley. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a homemaker who spent the past 16 years in Ft. Gaines. Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Payne; three daughters, Julie Pittman and husband Lloyd of Ft. Gaines, Sylvia Curran and husband Gerald of Okeechobee, Fla., and Gloria Ortez and husband Steve of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sons, Robert Storey and Jim Storey and wife Sheila, all of Sneads, Fla.; four brothers, Pete Shockley and wife Kathy, Thomas Shockley and wife Edna, Nobie Shockley and wife Rechie and Marshall Shockley, all of Okeechobee, Fla.; three sisters, Sue Clark and husband Wayne of Kentucky, Suerita Walls and husband Jimmy and Violet Courson, all of Okeechobee, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services were Friday, Nov. 23, 2007, at 3 p.m. at New Park Cemetery in Ft. Gaines with Rev. Jimmy Cox officiating.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
