The Medical College of Georgia's School of Medicine hosted its annual "white coat ceremony" Sept. 15. Renee Hilton, the daughter of Lamar and Lisa Hilton of Edison, was one of 190 first year medical school students to receive a white coat. This ceremony marks a milestone for first year medical students as they are presented with the first white coat to be worn as they begin their journey to become physicians. Each student was presented with his or her first white coat and the class recited the Medical Student Oath of Service and Responsibility. Renee was chosen along with 19 other classmates and served on the committee that composed the oath that the Medical School Class of 2011 recited and committed to.
