Ruby Lee Chapman Retail Manager Ruby Lee Cox Chapman, 69, of Dothan died Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at her residence. Mrs. Chapman was born in Houston County, Ala., March 5, 1938, to the late Roy Lee Cox and Lena Pearl Dukes Hodges. She was a member of Westview United Methodist Church. She retired from Wal-Mart and also worked for Woolco and Woolworth as a department manager. Survivors include her husband, William David "Buddy" Chapman of Dothan; four sisters, Betty Sue Hodges of Mobile, Ala., Mary Lou Hardy of Silver Creek, Miss., Linda Sheffield of Dothan and Daphne Sherman and husband Tim of Dothan; four brothers, Ronald Hodges of Dothan, Donny Hodges and wife Sandy of Patmos, Billy Joe Hodges of Mobile, Ala., and Danny Hodges and wife Debra of Blakely. The graveside funeral service was Monday, Nov. 19, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Blakely Cemetery with Rev. Jim Burgess officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Westview United Methodist Church in Blakely.
Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
