Josephine Sutton Homemaker Josephine Sutton, 80, of Damascus died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2007, at Miller County Hospital in Colquitt. Mrs. Sutton was born in Damascus May 14, 1927, to Winnie Chester and the late Bill Chester. She was a homemaker and a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and also participated in the choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lee Sutton Sr.. Survivors in addition to her mother are two daughters, Minnie LaSure and husband George of Atlanta and Sarah Sutton and husband Edgar of Orange, N.J.; four sons, Thomas Sutton and wife Doris of Jacksonville, Fla., Willie Sutton Jr. of Damascus, Joseph Sutton and wife Sandra of Rockledge, Fla., and Ronald Sutton of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Hallman and Rev. George LaSure officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
