Busby named FFA member of the week

Heath Busby
Early County FFA announces Heath Busby as its FFA Member of the Week. As a senior, Heath has been active in FFA for the past five years. His FFA activities include career development events in wildlife management, forestry, natural resources and nursery landscape.

He recently won high individual in the state wildlife management CDE for wild turkey identification. Heath has also received his chapter FFA degree.

This is the second degree awarded to FFA members based on their participation in FFA contests and leadership.

Heath works very hard with his supervised agriculture experience program. He currently works for Lisenby and Wiregrass Farms. Some of his main responsibilities are to pick peanuts, run the boll buggy, harrow land and field cultivate.

He is currently enrolled in forestry and natural resource as his agriculture class. Other agriculture classes Heath has completed are horticulture and ag science.

Heath is a member of First Baptist Church of Blakely. His plans after high school are to attend Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College where he will pursue a veterinary science major.

Heath is the son of Tracy and Sandy Busby of Blakely.
