Cross Country heads to state
Early County hosted the region cross country meet at Kolomoki Mounds State Park Nov. 1. The boy's team was led by Treiwan Williams, whose third place finish in 18:26 earned him a medal. Mark Culpepper finished 10th, followed closely by Travis Johnson in 12th place. Janorris Bradley and Bubba Jackson rounded out the top five on the boy's team, followed by John Dunnigan and Randall Ellis.
Mary Ann McClendon finished sixth overall, with a time of 25:00. Ana Ingram was 13th and Breanna Bush finished 15th. Katie Crozier, Lara Meeks, Staci Pyle and Natalie Thompson rounded out the girl's team.
Both teams finished fourth in the region and will advance to the state meet on Nov. 10 in Carrolton.
