Janie Anderson Retired

Janie Mae Johnson- Anderson, 76, of Blakely died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at her residence.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Columbia, Ala., Dec. 25, 1930, to the late Raymond Johnson and Rozenia Johnson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Johnson and Robert Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Grady Anderson; three daughters, Sarah Lucas of Doraville, Annie Lou Pickens of Albany, and Margaret Smith of Blakely; one son, Jackie Wade and wife Amy of Blakely; two sisters, Mamie Gray and Flora Wimbush, both of Blakely; three brothers, Lionel Johnson and wife Marie of Gainesville, Fla., Raymond Johnson of Atlanta and A.C. Johnson and wife Shirley of Fayettville, N.C.; one brother in-law, Murray Anderson and wife Doris of Blakely; one sister-in-law, Flossie Williams and husband Robert J. of Hallendale, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were Monday, Nov. 5, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Ross Jr. officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Woodrow Gray Jr., Harvey Lindsey, Calvin Gray, Corey Kegler, Rickey Tolbert and Dereck Powell.

Peoples Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
