FFA names Cody Aycock member of the week

Cody Aycock
The Early County FFA Chapter proudly announces Cody Aycock as FFA member of the week. Cody is the son of Cindy and Freddy Varnum of Arlington.

As a senior, Cody has several years of involvement in FFA and has competed in numerous FFA career development events. He has been on the floriculture and wildlife management teams for the past two years and the forestry team for three years. Last year, as a member of the wildlife management team, Cody placed third in the state for whitetail deer identification. His individual score helped the team place second in the state overall.

As a student Cody has taken several agricultural classes that include woodworking, forestry, natural and food processing. His plans after high school are to attend a technical school for air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance.

For his supervised agriculture experience program, Cody works very hard helping his father farm over 4,500 acres. The farm is located in Arlington. Some of Cody's responsibilities include pulling peanut trailers, mowing cotton stalks, running module builders, and reshaving peanuts. He also assists in the production of peanuts, soybeans, cotton, wheat and corn. Cody is a volunteer fire fighter for the Arlington Fire Department.
