FFA member of the week

Patrick White
Early County High School sophomore Patrick White is this week's FFA member of the week. He is the son of Betty and Willie White of Blakely. Patrick is very involved in FFA. His involvement includes the wildlife management team, the nursery and landscape career development event and the fruit sale fundraiser.

Patrick has been recognized for his participation in all of these events and at the annual banquet last school year he received his greenhand degree for his participation in career development events and his supervised agriculture experience program. This is the first degree received by an FFA member. He was recently recognized at the Georgia National Fair for the tool tray he constructed in his woodworking class.

The supervised agriculture experience program he has developed includes raising chickens, goats and horses.

Last year during school Patrick took his first agriscience class. This year he is enrolled in forestry and natural resources with Kitty Simmons and woodworking with Larry Worsley. His future education plans are to attend Bainbridge College.
