Research to keep farm children safer

      University of Georgia researchers will soon begin studying Georgia farm families to find out the best ways to keep children safer when they grow up on farms. They're looking for families to participate. The three-year project is called AgTeen.

Drought conditions expected to continue

      Drought conditions are expected to continue across much of Georgia through spring 2008 and may expand into southeast Georgia by spring. A La Nina climate pattern has developed, which increases the probability of a dry, warm winter and spring across most of the state.

Now that's a potato!
     It's a foregone conclusion that pumpkin pie is no match for sweet potato pie, at least here in the South. And, sweet potato pie will certainly be on the menu at the Cobbs' house on Sawyer Road after Dennis Cobbs harvested these 15.5 lb. and 9.5 lb. sweet potatoes from his garden.
