Glynn Enfinger Retired Malcom Glynn Enfinger Sr., 77, passed away peacefully at his home and wentto be with our Lord Oct. 11, 2007. Glynn was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Houston County, Ala., near Dothan to the late John and Evie Enfinger. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Frances Enfinger. He has two sons, Mac Enfinger Jr. and his wife Amy and their two children, Trey and Erinn, all of Augusta, Ga.; Mike Enfinger and his wife Shawn and their children, Dan and Harrison Enfinger, and Justin Roberson, all of Americus, Ga. Mr. Enfinger also has three great grandchildren, Lane, Jack and Aleyah Roberson. One of six children, he is survived as well by one sister, Martha Jean Clements and her husband Van; two brothers, Jack Enfinger and his wife Helen, and Riley Enfinger and his wife Martha; and one sister-inlaw, Laura Mae Enfinger all of Houston County, Ala. He is preceded in death by his two older brothers John, wife Irene and Paul Enfinger and his daughterin law, Cheri Enfinger. Glynn served in the U. S. Marine Corps and was awarded a Purple Heart after being wounded in action while in Korea. After returning home he moved to Blakely where he worked for 37 years with the Georgia Telephone Corporation until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Disciples Sunday school Class. He was also a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, Masons and the Shriners. Funeral services were at Southside Baptist Church Saturday, Oct. 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Rick Smith and Rev. Mac Enfinger officiating. Interment followed in the Blakely Cemetery. Pallbearers were Trey Enfinger, Harrison Enfinger, Justin Roberson, Jerome Enfinger, Jimmy Nelson, Tom Redding, Earl J ones and David Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Glynn's Disciple Sunday school class, Charles DeLoach, VFW and American Legion members. The family requests that memorials for Mr. Glynn Enfinger be given to the Southside Baptist Church or Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 1323 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, Ga. 39819.
