Walk to d'feet ALS
A local caravan will head to Columbus Saturday, Oct. 20, to participate in "Walk to d'feet ALS." The walk raises money for ALS patients in the state of Georgia to help provide medical equipment and care to the patients and families.
The event is sponsored by the ALS Association of Georgia which is dedicated to supporting research, patient service, community service, public education and advocacy for ALS.
Donations are being accepted by the local team in honor of Doug Kidd who has been battling ALS for a number of years, and in memory of Dan Cox whose funeral was held this week after losing his battle with ALS.
