Plans for ECHS Homecoming underway

2007 ECHS Cheerleaders will welcome former Bobcat cheerleaders and alumni to Standifer Field for this year's "Salute to ECHS Stars."
Plans are underway for this year's homecoming activities at Early County High School. The theme for 2007 is "Salute to the ECHS Stars."

Homecoming is scheduled for Nov. 2 as ECHS takes on Albany High School. Students will enjoy a week of spirit contests, the annual homecoming show, parade and pep rally and the crowing of king and queen.

This year ECHS will host a special ceremony saluting the five State Championship teams as well as ECHS All-Americans/ Retired Jerseys, and ECHS Alumni who are members of the U.S. military.

The five state championship teams are 1964 football, 1970 golf, 1970 boys' basketball, 2003 girls' basketball and 2005 boys' track. The All-Americans with retired jerseys are Edward Taylor, Bob Hall, Tay Cody and Tom Whitehurst. Military personnel will be listed as part of the program.

The homecoming parade is Nov. 1 at 5:30. Deadline to sign up is Oct. 24. Those interested in participating in the parade should contact Linda Warren at lwarren@ early.k12.ga.us or 724- 5337.
