Wells, Taylor wedding vows spoken
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Wells of Dothan. She is the granddaughter of James Edward White of Dothan, formerly of Birmingham, the late Mrs. James Edward White of Birmingham and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eldridge Miron Wells Jr. of Dothan. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs.William Sledge Taylor III of Como, Miss., and Mary Margaret Short Taylor of Columbus, Miss. He is the grandson of Mrs. James Franklin Short of Columbus, Miss., the late James Franklin Short of Columbus, Miss. and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Sledge Taylor Jr. of Como, Miss. A program of wedding music was presented by J. David Ethridge, organist, and Michael Keeley, trumpeter. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maebec Hannah Dunlap of Decatur, Ala., served as maid of honor and Laura Hanchett Kirkpatrick of Auburn served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Alissa Dianne Brown, Stephanie Nicole Brown and Tara Hood Roberson, all of Florence, Ala., Mary Brook Delano of Nashville, Tenn., Alison Dunlap Ellis of Hartselle, Ala., Elizabeth Diane Faulkinberry of Houston, Texas, Caroline Thompson Hester of Monroe, Ga., Jennifer Warren Hewitt and Shannon LaShea Johnson, both of Birmingham, and Bethany Hope Powers of Ozark. William Sledge Taylor III, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Jemison Bartlett and William Claiborne Taylor, brother of the groom, both of Como, Miss., William Holland Cooper of Kailua, Hawaii, Ransom Aldrich Crensshaw of Michigan City, Miss., Walter Ray Crenshaw III of LaGrange, Tenn., Brian Thomas Delk of Memphis, Wayne Baker Drash of Atlanta, Matthew Logan King of Charlotte, N.C., William Daniel Klein of Marblehead, Mass., and Andrew Kearney Taylor, brother of the groom, of Oxford, Miss. Ushers were James David Faulkinberry of Houston, Texas, and Donald McRae Thompson Jr. of Atlanta. Elizabeth Kathryn DeLoney of Ozark, Callie Elizabeth Moore of Florence, Ala., and Anna Katelyn Pittman of Birmingham served as flowergirls. Daniel Brooks Moore and Owen Nathan Roberson of Florence, Ala., served as ring bearers. Program attendants were Sarah Elizabeth Gilly of Dothan, Allison Ruth Pittman and Ashleigh Lauren Pittman, both of Birmingham. Judith Lea Burnett of Dothan served as book attendant. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at the Dothan Country Club. The groom's parents entertained the wedding party and out-oftown guests with a rehearsal dinner at the Dothan Country Club.
The couple honeymooned on a Caribbean cruise, and now reside in Como, Miss.
