Going up in smoke...
 | | A billowing tower of black smoke could be seen over a cotton field north of Blakely on Highway 39 Sunday.The smoke was coming from a cotton picker belonging to Turnage Tractor Co. which had caught on fire in the middle of the field. Firefighters extinguished the flames, but the picker was destroyed. There were no injuries resulting from the fire. Firefighters were called to another cotton picker fire last week north of Blakely near Colomokee. |
