GED ceremony scheduled for Oct.

The Early County Literacy Task Force will host a GED recognition ceremony Thursday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Early County Middle School cafeteria.

The ceremony will recognize Early County students who have received their GED within the last three years.

Because the actual graduation ceremonies are held in Albany or Bainbridge, many local graduates are not able to attend.

The Literacy Task Force provides the recognition ceremony as an opportunity for those students to be recognized in their own community.

Graduates who are interested in participating should call 723-5122 by Tuesday, Oct. 9. Friends and family are also invited to attend.
